From November 8, 2024 to January 5, 2025 celebrate the creativity and artistic talent of the University of Texas Arlington’s students. 

 

ARLINGTON, TX (November 4th, 2024) – In collaboration with the University of Texas Arlington, the Arlington Museum of Art will host an exhibition highlighting students’ work in our HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Gallery. This exhibition will showcase exceptional student work across a range of artistic mediums, including sculptures, ceramic pieces, paintings, photography, and video works. Some pieces to highlight are Lucas Gustafson’s piece, Untitled, which is made with neon scrap. Alija Almosawi’s piece, Connect, Disconnect, made of steel, an artificial persian rug, wool yarn, and henna. Lisa Clayton uses a candy machine as a part of her sculpture.  The choice of material is unlimited to these artists, showcasing a diverse range of artistic narratives and stories direct from the emerging artists at UT Arlington. 

 

AMA | UTA Annual Juried Exhibition Fall 2024 opens at the Arlington Museum of Art on November 8, 2024 in the HELP Center Gallery. All exhibits hosted in this gallery are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. The exhibit runs through January 5, 2025.

 

This exhibition is  juried by Emily Edwards. Edwards is an Associate Curator for the Dallas Contemporary. Edward states, “I’m really excited about the UTA x AMA exhibition because I think it is a fantastic opportunity to be exposed to so many of the students and their work. I’m inspired by the different perspectives coming together and how each student interprets their ideas in this show.” She, along with UTA and AMA, is looking forward to connecting with students and celebrating the amazing artistic community at UTA.

 

The Arlington Museum of Art invites the public to experience this remarkable exhibit and discover the creativity, skill, and diverse perspectives of UTA’s student artists. Both introspective and reflective, this juried exhibition gives visitors a unique look into the innovation of the next generation of artists. “This collaboration with UTA exemplifies our commitment to fostering young talent and supporting local artists. We love for visitors to experience the emerging voices and takeaway impactful stories. The exhibition is free to the public, demonstrating our mission to bring art to all,” said Kendall Quirk, AMA Director of Exhibitions.
