The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation board of directors recently announced a generous grant in support of Disney Art from Private Collections at the Arlington Museum of Art. The transformative nature of the exhibition was noted in the announcement, as was the unique opportunity it brings to Arlington residents.

“Only a few cities in the world have hosted a Disney animation exhibit at this level.”

As stated on its website, ATF strives to support the arts and make Arlington a more livable and enjoyable place to call home by funding programs that meet the emotional, social, and physical needs of our citizens while strengthening the artistic capacity of local arts organizations.

“All of us at the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation are delighted to help underwrite the Arlington Museum of Art’s latest exhibit, Disney Art from Private Collection,” said Carolyn Mentesana, Executive Director of the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation. “More importantly, our grant underscore the value we recognize in the Museum’s ongoing contributions to and enhanced reputation among to the region’s cultural community.”

Chris Hightower, President and CEO of the Arlington Museum of Art, says the foundation’s support is meaningful to the museum in many ways. “The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation inspires us to be visionary,” said Hightower. “We build our annual exhibition schedule in a way that reflects our diverse community. We also leverage each exhibition to provide robust educational programming, community engagement, and unique partnerships. In its first month alone, Disney Art from Private Collections is already exceeding all expectations.”
