Welcome

The Arlington Museum of Art is a place for inspiration. A place for education. A place for building community. As a cultural arts leader, we seek opportunities to use visual arts as a tool for inclusivity and positive change. Throughout the year, the museum transforms again and again with exhibitions that speak to our hearts and ignite our imaginations. Our long-standing partnerships with art educators help fuel the next generation of creatives, as does our commitment to nurture local artists and inspire life-long learning.

TRAVELING EXHIBIT

Eugenia Pardue – Quaintrelle

Enter the delicate and natural yet boldly maximalist style of Portland-based artist Eugenia Pardue. Her medium is an abundance of meticulously hand-fashioned paint, through which she creates unapologetically feminine pieces. Her paintings, particularly those that are white on white, communicate both a sense of opulence as well as romance full of modern nostalgia.

Donray – Luminous Confrontations: Landscapes, Performers, and Birds

Donray uses extraordinary techniques emphasizing motion and color to develop his unique style. Innovating his own acrylic-on-acrylic methods, he has made a name for himself as a national and internationally acclaimed artist, whose paintings highlight the “metaphorical dynamic nature of life and the yearning of mankind for spiritual enlightenment and fulfillment.”

TRAVELING EXHIBIT

Amy J. Schultz – MUMENTOUS: The Upsizing of a Texas Tradition

In MUMENTOUS, Amy Schultz takes a deep artistic dive into a Texas-born high school tradition: homecoming mums. Schultz’s street-style photography, personal narratives, and multi-media pieces disavow the mum as merely over-the-top ornamentation. Instead, the collection reveals the tradition’s ubiquitous nature and boldly suggests that mums are nearly as alive as those who wear them.
