Arlington, TX (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – Noted medieval historian and media personality, Dr. Kelly DeVries, will give a talk at the Arlington Museum of Art as a part of the museum’s lecture series, Articulate. The lecture is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
During his talk, DeVries will share his passion for medieval military history and technology. The lecture by DeVries at the Arlington Museum of Art coincides with the museum’s current exhibition, A Knight’s Tale, which features stunning, one-of-a-kind European arms and armor from the 1400-1800s. When the exhibit closes on February 12, 2023, it will return to its home in Florence, Italy at the Stibbert Museum.

About Dr. Kelly DeVries
In addition to his work as professor of history at Loyola University Maryland, Dr. Devries has written a manifold of works on Medieval topics, including the solo work Medieval Military Technology and his most recent collaboration, The Battle of Crecy: A Casebook. He is also President of the United States Commission of Military History and Honorary Historical Consultant for the Royal Armouries, UK.
Dr. DeVries has also been involved in a number of TV network series and is regularly featured on the History Network. He has been involved on and off-camera on programs including Forged in Fire, The History Chicks, Mystery Files, Barbarians and Barbarians II, History vs. Hollywood, The Dark Ages, and the YouTube series, Medieval Warfare with Kelly DeVries and Michael Livingston.
