Pompeii

Advance tickets for Pompeii: The Immortal City and One Point Five Degrees, which open on March 30, 2024 at the Arlington Museum of Art, are available starting today at 10:00 a.m. The exhibitions are part of the Arlington Museum of Art’s grand opening in its new location next to Choctaw Stadium, AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Texas Live! in the Arlington Entertainment District.

Tickets for the exhibitions are only available through the museum’s website at arlingtonmuseum.org.

Pompeii: The Immortal City, which is made possible by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, will be presented in just one of the museum’s several new gallery spaces. The gallery will have the capacity to accommodate a wide variety of traditional and interactive art exhibitions, like Pompeii, and the ability to flex according to the scale of the installations. One Point Five Degrees will debut in the museum’s new dedicated immersive art gallery.

Pompeii: The Immortal City

From authentic art and archeological marvels to stunning immersive experiences, the latest techniques of modern museology and technology bring the ancient city back to life in Pompeii: The Immortal City. The exhibition painstakingly recreates the drama of the fateful eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, allowing visitors to experience its destruction and to identify with the inhabitants of that time.

“The Arlington Museum of Art is proud to present Pompeii: The Immortal City as the first major exhibition in our new museum building,” said Chris Hightower, president and CEO of the AMA. “This is exactly the kind of world-class experience that will demonstrate the capabilities and scale of our new location in the Arlington Entertainment District.”
