This year, Eat Your Art Out is part of the debut of the museum’s brand new location.

“For the last six years, the Arlington Museum of Art has hosted Eat Your Art Out as an opportunity for North Texans to support the arts and taste some of the best culinary art in our region,” said Chris Hightower, AMA President and CEO. “This year, it also provides a unique way for art lovers to experience the all new Arlington Museum of Art, which opened just a couple of weeks ago inside a completely reimagined space in the Arlington Entertainment District.”

When the Arlington Museum of Art opened to the public on March 30, it debuted its galleries with three unique art exhibitions that showcase the museum’s stature on the world art stage as well as its commitment to local and emerging artists:

Attendees of Eat Your Art Out will have the opportunity to experience these three exhibitions, plus works by more than a dozen confectionery artists. Participating bakeries include Emerald Door Bakery (Arlington), Enchanted Cottage Bake Shop (Fort Worth), Cookie Society (Frisco), and Specialty Cakes by Amanda (Watauga). Student bakers from the Arlington Independent School District Bistro @ CTC will represent the district’s culinary program.

In addition to generous, sweet tooth-satisfying sampling, attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and a champagne toast while participating in a silent auction.

As its largest fundraiser of the year, Eat Your Art Out helps the Arlington Museum of Art present world-class special exhibitions and keep the new Community Gallery free and accessible to all. Proceeds from the event also provide supplies for the AMA Education Center, and in particular its Summer Art Camp, which welcomes hundreds of at-risk and highly talented youth who attend on scholarships provided in partnership with Arlington ISD.
