The Arlington Museum of Art will host art and artists celebrating national Pride month, in collaboration with Arlington Pride organizer and longtime AMA supporter, HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness, in the gallery named for the organization

Arlington, TX  (February 21, 2025) – In June 2025, the Arlington Museum of Art will host its first Pride exhibition, celebrating the work of artists in the LGBTQ+ community and their stories. The exhibition is a collaboration with one of the AMA’s top supporters, HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness. As part of both organizations’ missions to create a welcoming city for all communities, this annual exhibition and partnership will take place at the AMA’s new location in the Arlington Entertainment District.

Chris Hightower, President and CEO of the Arlington Museum of Art, sees this unique partnership with HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness as an important part of the museum’s commitment to encourage emerging artists, supporting local community groups, and providing access to art for all.

“The heart of the Arlington Museum of Art is the community,” said Hightower. “Our founders saw a need in Arlington to create an organization that supports the visual arts. HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness has done the same for their community for thirty years. This partnership creates a bigger and better opportunity to highlight incredible artists in the LGBTQ+ community and we couldn’t be more excited.”

“We are thrilled to partner with the Arlington Museum of Art to launch an annual Pride Month exhibition celebrating the incredible work of LGBTQ+ artists and allies,” said DeeJay Johannessen, CEO of the HELP Center for LGBT Health and Wellness.

This exhibition will take place annually in the AMA’s 5,500 square foot HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Gallery. Visitors can expect a wide variety of mediums, stories, and artists, all free of charge. A call for artists will be released by the Arlington Museum of Art in the coming months.
