Q:  BOSHA is a Champion Sponsor for the Arlington Museum of Art’s Eat Your Art Out event, and a champion of community outreach! Why is community engagement so important to your organization?

Part of conquering pain means getting out and enjoying life. We believe in the vibrance of Arlington, and we work to help strengthen the fabric of the community through partnerships in the arts, sports, events, and facilities. There’s something for everyone here – our patients love it, and our employees do, too.

Q:  Why is it important for a community to support its local non-profit arts organizations like the AMA?

A vibrant artistic community is the backbone of a fulfilling culture. It creates avenues for expression, ideas, enrichment, talent, and inspiration. Think of all the times you have gone to see a family member’s art or performance, or that you have gone to see moving works by those who make it their life’s mission to create. Art that touches our hearts radiates outward to strengthen everything about us.

Q:  What do you think makes the Arlington Museum of Art special?

Like us, the AMA is devoted to this wonderful city. And it proves that even though there are bigger cities in the Metroplex, we have the power and the vision to be distinctive in our own rights. It’s a special place, devoted to creating essential experiences.

Q:  Eat Your Art Out is such a fun event – lots of delicious food, high energy, and camaraderie. What are you most looking forward to?

The food will be great! But what we’ll remember long after the event are the friends we saw and made, and the connections we strengthened.

Q:  Another special aspect of Eat Your Art Out is the participation of the bakers and confectionery artists, not only because they’re creative but because they are small business owners (not to mention they are all women-owned).

Nearly half of all Americans work for a small business. Much like the arts and other cultural institutions, these businesses help form the fabric of our vibrant community. Like any business owners, these women are strong and courageous. Collectively, they are also our sisters, moms, daughters, and friends. And by the way, their art is delicious!
