Announcing the new AMA resource page for teachers & home schoolers!
Summer is the perfect time to get into the habit of being creative! Studies show that the regular practice of art by kids and adults can improve observational skills, productivity, and adaptability, which is tied to innovation and personal well-being. Even just 15 minutes of art every day can be a habit that pays long-term dividends.
Here are just four of the ways the Arlington Museum of Art can help you spark creativity in the young people in your world.

We’ve also included information about planning field trips to the AMA, and a month-by-month art project calendar with links to DIY videos.

Storytime with the Arlington Public Library
Bring your little ones to the AMA for a story time that combines an interactive reading and art project based on a common theme. Held every other Wednesday at the Arlington Museum of Art, Storytime with Arlington Public Library is a great way for children to enjoy reading with you and other children their age. It also teaches children how to transform their listening skills into tactile skills by creating an original piece of art. Admission and parking are free. Storytime is presented in partnership with the Arlington Public Library.
