Storytime with the Arlington Public Library: Presidents Day, Cherry Tree Activity
February 19, 2025 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Bring your little ones to the AMA series, Storytime with the Arlington Public Library. Held every other Wednesday at the Arlington Museum of Art, Storytime is a celebration of books, art, movement, imagination, and smiles. Admission and parking are free.
We’ll begin Storytime with a book read theatrically by a Children’s Librarian from the Arlington Public Library. Sometimes we’ll even treat you to a puppet show! Then you and your child will participate in an art activity related to the story. Storytime with Arlington Public Library is a great way for children to enjoy reading with you and other children their age. It also teaches children how to transform their listening skills into tactile skills by creating an original piece of art.
Storytime events are held either in the HELP Center Gallery, Traditional Gallery, or Boardroom. When you arrive at the museum, please check in at the front desk.
For our February 19th Storytime, our art activity will be ‘George Washington and the Cherry Tree’. To commemorate President’s Day, join us in this educational activity that discusses George Washington’s famous cherry tree story and the significance of honesty.
