Storytime with the Arlington Public Library: Book Character Dress Up Day and Pumpkin Decorating
October 30 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Bring your little ones to the AMA series, Storytime with the Arlington Public Library. Held every other Wednesday at the Arlington Museum of Art, Storytime is a celebration of books, art, movement, imagination, and smiles. Admission and parking are free.
We’ll begin Storytime with a book read theatrically by a Children’s Librarian from the Arlington Public Library. Sometimes we’ll even treat you to a puppet show! Then you and your child will participate in an art activity related to the story. Storytime with Arlington Public Library is a great way for children to enjoy reading with you and other children their age. It also teaches children how to transform their listening skills into tactile skills by creating an original piece of art.
Storytime events are held either in the HELP Center Gallery, Traditional Gallery, or Boardroom. When you arrive at the museum, please check in at the front desk.
For the October 30th Storytime, we will come dressed as our favorite storybook characters! The featured books will be favorites from the Arlington Public Library and AMA staff. Come decked out as your favorite character and we will decorate pumpkins too!
