Awaken Ensemble and the Arlington Museum of Art are teaming up to share their mutual love of art and music! Join Awaken Ensemble at 3pm on Sunday, December 17 for a musical celebration of the Christmas holidays. The 1-hour concert will take place in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church-Arlington. Musicians from Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy will also be performing, and AMA President and CEO Chris Hightower will open the concert with brief remarks.
Tickets are $10 at the door or online. Students are free. Donations are appreciated and will help keep the music going year-round!
Awaken Ensemble is a non-profit chamber choir primarily composed of North Texas-area music professionals, including music educators from all levels of education (elementary-high school), private lesson instructors, music therapists, as well as music majors from local universities. By believing in the intrinsic power of music to awaken the inherent good of the human spirit, the choir uses high-quality music to enrich the community with positive messages of love, understanding, and inclusiveness.
