Le Chien Noir

Come by Saturday, July 25, 2015 when we pay homage to Paris’ famed Le Chat Noir café by turning our amphitheater into THE place to stay and play all day.

During regular museum hours, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., we host performance artists, who will be scheduled throughout the day. But we don’t want to let them have ALL the fun.

That’s where YOU come in!

Between the scheduled performers, we encourage our guests to participate, as well. Bring your guitar, ukulele, harmonica, or any instrument you can carry in and out of the museum, and serenade us. Get up on our stage and recite your own compositions, or pour through the books of 19th and 20th century French poetry we will have on hand and select a piece and make it your own. We’re up for whatever strikes your creative fancy, but keep it family friendly, please!

We’ll be serving coffee, a variety of teas, cookies, pastries, and other sweets.

All guests will enjoy a reduce admission price of $4, and as always, children 12 and under, and members are free.

You’ll also be able to come and go throughout the day, so pack up your laptop, pick up your friends, and get ready for a fun, relaxing day of music and other performance art, à la the bohemian Montmartre district of Paris.
