The Arlington Museum of Art is committed to freedom of speech, however it reserves the right to decline works that may be patently offensive and that, taken as a whole, appeal to a prurient interest in sex and lack serious artistic merit and may thus be deemed to be obscene by a court of law. Artwork exhibited at the AMA during the Community Art Showcase will be given the best possible care. Artists must be responsible for providing their own insurance in the event of loss or damage.

The Arlington Museum of Art allows visitors to photograph works of art. Therefore, photographs of work on display may be reproduced for publicity purposes in connection with this exhibit. Artwork cannot be stored at the museum so must be picked up promptly at the end of the exhibit.
